Company’s development and current status
Manna Biotechnology has been in existence for 25 years. The inception of Manna Biotech coincided with Taiwan’s economic takeoff. At that time many households began to raise tropical fish in house aquariums. However, the growth environment required for ornamental fish farming is much stricter and more complicated than other fish farming.Therefore, the R & D department of Manna Biotech Company was founded early and created a special bio-agent to improve the water quality of ornamental fish tanks, odor and pathogen removal to promote the health of fish farming. The bio-agent helped the aquarium industry to increase profits. At the same time, the company also applied the bio-agent to fish outdoor ponds and other large-scale fishing places for the development of enhanced fish aquaculture. The Mannatech bio-agent was effective in maintaining the water quality and reduce the cost of tank water for aquaculture industry making a great contribution for this field.
Moreover, the Manna Biotech Company has also developed a bio-agent for broiler breeding. This revised formula, the new modified bio-agent has been used in broiler breeding and demonstrably improves the quality of chicken meat, enhances the viability of chickens, and enhances the health of the chickens significantly. Through the application of the newly developed conditioner, the company also developed an innovative system of broiler rearing: Improved Litter Engineering System (ILES). After three years of farm trials testing confirmed that this system significantly improves the living environment and meat quality of broiler. In addition, Manna Biotech also begin production of a variety of disease-resistant probiotics. These probiotic agents target the common diseases in broiler breeding offering enhanced disease prevention and treatment of a range of pathogens that commonly occur on broiler farms. The disease-resistant probiotics are produced by a unique culture developed by Manna Biotech. It has both deodorant and has antibacterial effects on chicken manure. It is also used as an environmental conditioner, for odor removal in many public waste water systems, such as: septic tanks, drains of residential buildings, etc.
It has proven particularly effective at reducing the growth of bacteria, especially at preventing the development of lumps which cause the pipeline in septic tanks from becoming plugged and is quite miraculous.
Since the establishing the company, we continue to engage in rigorous testing, and have developed a variety of engineering methods for improving broiler breeding. Our product not only provides chicken growers with a better tool for raising profitability but also helps the farmer in achieving the goals of organic agriculture. Fermentation of ST bacteria
Chicken manure-free fermentation biological treatment method
The company has developed a repetitive padding construction method, based on methane bacteria as the main body, and with Aspergillus, Bacillus bacteria, yeast and lactic acid (collectively known as ST fermentation bacteria) that have been used for decomposition of litter in poultry industry for eliminating risk factors, improving the resistance of pathogens to reducing the cost of litter, and providing a cooler and drier environment for broiler breeding.
2. Advantages of ST bacteria for the poultry industry
(1) Biological effects: fermentation bedding plate count test
A: E. coli was inhibited at 1CFU / 100 ml after using ST bacteria.
B: Salmonella not detected.
C: Viruses absent in the host state after the breeding place was put it aside for 12 days.
D: Provides natural bio-feed and antigens.
(2) Chemical effects: excludes bad gases:ammonia and hydrogen sulfide.
A: Ammonia was not detected due to methane decomposition by thermophilic bacteria. It helps to reduce respiratory disease and the viral infection rate.
B: Hydrogen sulfide was efficiently decomposed.
C: The pH was maintained between 5.5-6.1, it inhibits harmful protozoa proliferation.
(3) Physical effects
A: Fluffy bedding technology increases the oxygen content of biodegradable waste to improve on-site odor and decomposition.
B: Up to 200 % the amount of water was absorbed in the litter, it is useful to enhance hydrogen sulfide conversion.
C: Chicken manure on the soil is relatively odorless
3. Repetitive padding operations
1. First, turn litter completely.
2. The spray the diluted ST bacteria solution onto the litter .
3. Seal the chicken coop about 7-9 days.
4. After about 15 days later, the process is completed.
4. Advantages using fermented litter
* No occurrence of coccidia.
* Reduces feet odor.
* Improves the distribution of shed flora: the environment of sheds will be converted to an acidic one, harmful to bacteria and viruses and more difficult for them to survive.
* Odor: Litter after contact with the feces and urine from the chicken has no odor occurrence in the sheds.
* Save on labor costs.
* Due to the fermentation of litter moisture evaporates naturally and increases dryness of the bedding surface.
